Liposculpture with Fat Transfer

Maximum of 6 attendees per workshop to assure adequate
hands-on opportunity for all attendees
The didactic portion along with the clinical hands-on
exposure will allow attendees to gain a comprehensive
understanding of the procedure. The format used in this
activity is an effective method for knowledgeable
physicians to expand their surgical abilities safely.
At the conclusion of the activity, participants should
be able to:
1. Discuss the history of liposuction and how it has
transcended into an office-based procedure
2. Explain the clinical aspects of the procedure,
including patient selection, safe dosing limits of
lidocaine in tumescent anesthesia, and proper surgical
methods and technique
3. Learn the proper technique in performing liposuction
in the following areas: Upper/Lower extremities, head
and neck line
4. Learn the process of removing localized fat from the
abdomen or elsewhere and re-injecting the fat into the
desired locations
5. Apply the procedure into the existing office setting
from a marketing standpoint
6. Use the most efficient layout in a facility to
perform the procedure
7. Calculate the start-up costs and instrument set up
for the procedure
8. Define issues of medical malpractice and how it
relates to the physicians
9. Assess the financial benefit of the fee-for-service
cosmetic procedure
10. Describe effective methods to manage patients
dissatisfied or challenging.
